We are very pleased to announce that Music and Dances of Central Nepal: Subi Shah’s Works on Pangdure (Maruni) Performance is now under contract with Open Book Publishers.
This volume will include the six works of Subi Shah’s that we are translating, along with audiovisual recordings of live performances of the songs and dances discussed therein. The beauty of working with Open Book Publishers is that we will be able to offer print books (with QR codes pointing to the videos), plus free ebooks and free online access to the translations and recordings.
Work on all the audiovisual recordings for this project is still paused due to COVID, but we are delighted to have our publishing plans set. We hope to see publication by 2024!
